GSA Social Events

The GSA improves social life on campus through numerous social programs. In recent years the GSA has held a wine social every semester at the University Club, brought in a comedy sketch group for an improv night, held weekly summer events to get graduate students together over the summer and held family game nights in the GLC once a semester.

GSA Summer Events are Back!

This summer the GSA will host one summer event per week. Such events may include river tubing, rafting, camping, a beach trip, golf lessons, auto racing, Salem Avalanche baseball game, BBQ and more! The GSA will help subsidize the cost of these events. Events will start by the first week of June and end in early August. If you are interested in even just one of these events, join by sending an email to gsa@vt.edu or RSVP to the event on Facebook. Encourage your friends to join as well.

Radford Motormile Speedway, Saturday, July 19th, 2008

The GSA is sponsoring a trip to the Motormile Speedway in Radford. Come watch amateur and semiprofessional drivers race (and possibly crash) their cars around a .416 mile track. Admission is $5; however, the first 20 graduate students to RSVP get in FREE! You may meet us at the track or we will be carpooling from the Graduate Life Center (leave at 6:15pm).
