The Graduate Undergraduate Mentoring Program (GUMP) is designed to aid undergraduates in the transition from their undergraduate tenure at VT to graduate/professional school. The 2009 program seeks to provide Personal One-on-One Mentoring for undergraduates from VT grad students, graduate student contacts of whom undergrads may ask questions, pertinent information related to the graduate school application process, and Q&A sessions which will be hosted this fall.

I will be providing a list of those who have volunteered on this website for those undergraduates who are interested in contacting someone for information.

Please contact me at jonwhit@vt.edu to volunteer. I will do my best to keep an updated list of volunteers on the website. I am currently looking for some people to assist me by attending some McNair scholar meetings, as well as be part of a Q&A panel later this fall.

Graduate and Professional School Fair
GUMP will have a table at the Graduate and Professional school Fair Sept 18th, between 12 and 4 PM. Several GUMP representatives will be there during the day to answer questions and provide feedback, please fell free to attend.
