Every year the Graduate Student Assembly hosts the Virginia Tech Graduate & Professional School Fair. Representatives from over 90 graduate and professional programs from across the country participate in this event. Graduate school representatives attend this fair to meet Virginia Tech students and recruit for their graduate programs. Students will have an opportunity to learn about various schools and gain an early start on the graduate school application process. This FREE event is open to all students, faculty, staff and community members.
To make this event a rich learning experience for students and rewarding for the attending schools GSA plans to have two workshops; one a week prior to the event and one on the day of the event. The details are below
Financial Aid Seminar: Representatives from the ‘Office of University Scholarships and Financial Aid’ give insights about the Financial Aid Scene in Graduate School.
Date, Time & Pace: September 28th 2009, 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, Room 219 in Squires
Grad School 101 Seminar:(A week prior to the event) Thinking about going to graduate school but have lots of questions like: Should I go? How will I pay for it? How do I apply? What should a personal statement include? Do I have to take an entrance test? Come to the Grad School 101 seminar for information and resources to help you answer these questions and more!
